When searching for a new vehicle, you're most likely checking out some online resources like Cars.com. After all, this is where you can find the best information that will help you narrow down your choices based on your driving preferences. Recently Cars.com compiled a list of 10 midsize sedans ranked in order of affordability. We can't say we were too surprised to see the title of "Most Affordable Midsize Sedan" awarded to one of our favorites, the  2013 Kia Optima.

In order to qualify for this list, vehicles had to be equipped with certain innovative features like cruise control, Bluetooth, a USB port, a rearview camera and power windows, just to name a few. Cars.com also evaluated the five-year estimated fuel cost for each contender.

What features allowed the Optima to beat out competition? To justify this designation, Patrick Olsen, Cars.com's Editor-in-Chief, explains, "The Optima topped the list because of its combination of great features, low price and impressive estimated five-year fuel cost. With an estimated $9,750 in fuel cost over five years, the Optima topped out at just $32,975, which is more than $3,000 lower than the average midsize sedan for the same period of time."1

As far as segments go, the midsize sedan category is still known as the most popular and competitive. This is why Cars.com assembled the list, giving overwhelmed buyers an easy way to compare one brand against the other. The Kia Optima has proved that in addition to value, it offers the advanced technology that drivers are looking for.

To see if the Optima is the right choice for you, simply head over to our Arapahoe Kia showroom conveniently located in Greenwood Village, CO, today. We'd be happy to schedule you for a test drive and show you what else the new Kia lineup has to offer. Your ideal vehicle is just waiting for you to take it for a spin!
