To all of us here in the greater Denver area, Kia is the supplier of many stellar models like the 2013 Kia Optima, which you can find here at Arapahoe Kia. To those in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, the automaker represents a symbol of progress and social mobility, providing access to health care and education.
That's because Kia supplies the Tanzanian community in the Madale area with donated Kia K2700 trucks to provide transportation to health service centers and schools for disadvantaged citizens and youths for its "Green Light Project."
Along with transporting people to receive care and get educated, Kia will also fund the creation of a new school in the Dar es Salaam along with a community center that will serve as the Green Light Project's home base. Construction of the facilities are currently underway, and Kia expects them to be completed in October.
The hope is that with the safe and reliable transportation that the Kia K2700 provides, residents of the Tanzanian community will be empowered both physically and mentally, leading them towards an more enriched life.
Here at Arapahoe Kia it certainly makes us feel good knowing that Kia is doing its part to make the world a better place and helping the lives of an entire community through its Green Light Project.
If you're interested in learning more about the project's ongoing progress in Tanzania, or would like to hear more about the models like the Kia Optima available in the Denver area, stop in to our location at 9400 East Arapahoe Greenwood Village, CO 80112 during our regular business hours where we can discuss any new Kia model that interests you and arrange a test drive.
