Caution: driving a Kia Track'ster might cause people around you to drop what they're doing and stare. At least that's what happened at the recent Chicago Motor Show. With its dramatic look and bold stance, the new Kia hatch concept is truly a show-stopper.

While the automaker has not confirmed any immediate plans to take the Track'ster concept to production, Arapahoe Kia can't help but hope. For now though, we're satisfying with gushing over all the concept's pleasing details. Upon first glance, the vehicle's white and orange paint job makes a serious statement of cool. Paired with the Track'ster concept's "bulldog-like" stance, it adds a strong but lovable personality.

What's more, Kia officials say that some of the Track'ster components just might make it into a future variant of the funky, fresh Kia Soul. Tom Kearns, Chief Designer for Kia, explains, "We wanted to base the car in reality so people instantly knew it was a Soul, but with a lot of attitude. It had to...change people's conceptions of what a sporty Kia could be."1

In addition to attitude and flair, the Kia Track'ster concept also has smarts. Inside, enthusiasts will find a touch-operated technological system with satellite navigation, stereo and air-condition controls. For those who dream of taking their Soul onto the racetrack, the Track'ster fulfills this fantasy with panels for stowing race helmets, a rear strut brace, 19-inch alloy wheels and a sporty wheelbase.
