Arapahoe Kia knows it can be a bit frustrating to feast your eyes on an exciting new concept model only to find that it will never hit the production line. This is especially so when it comes to brilliant, cutting-edge automotive ideas that are oft presented in Kia concepts. However, we have some very, very good news along those lines. Catch a glimpse of the GT Concept which made an appearance at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 2011? Well, we are overjoyed to confirm that Kia has given the go-ahead for production of the svelte sports concept which is already slated to begin in 2013.
In case by some unfortunate happening you haven't had the chance to see the Kia GT Concept, it demonstrates quite the aggressive persona. Peter Schreyer, Kia Motors Chief Design Officer, says, "No matter from which perspective you look at it - this concept car is roaring with energy and ready for take-off."1
To pile even more icing atop the cake, Kia has also hinted at turning the GT Concept into a full-scale lineup with possible sedan, two-door coupe and station wagon variants. Moves towards fruition of a fleshed-out GT family coincide with the automaker's push towards a more pro-active industry role and wide-scale demonstration of creativity.
We already see innovation within the current new Kia lineup so you can imagine how anxious we are to watch the automaker's future path unravel.
