In a dynamic, rapidly-evolving world, "new technology" is considered "old" before half the population even gets their hands on it. Kia understands. That's why the automaker has chosen to revamp its in-vehicle information offering only a short time after the original was released.
Dubbed "UVO eServices," the next-generation of Kia UVO will bring a whole additional slew of information services to your new Kia model. As a compliment to the system's current music and navigation features, UVO2 will offer automatic crash notification, service reminders, road-side assistance, geo-fencing, speed warnings and much more. In short, the upgraded UVO will act like the personal assistant you've always wanted. What's more, parents will be thrilled to know that the new Kia tech-system will also help keep an eye on your kiddos through an innovative curfew setting. This feature will alert you if your teen keeps the vehicle out too late or strays too far from home.
Now, we know what you're thinking. All the above features are fantastic...but how do we access them? The answer, of course, is smartphones. Following in the footsteps of technology forerunners, Kia has engineered its new UVO offering to be fully compatible with smartphone applications. Unlike other automakers that use iPhones or Android to connect drivers to music, Kia leverages cell phone connectivity to provide consumers with in-vehicle music, safety, information and convenience.
To learn more about the second-coming of UVO, talk to one of our team members at 9400 East Arapahoe Greenwood Village, CO 80112. We can't say for sure exactly when the revamped system will be available for models such as the Kia Optima and Kia Soul, but company officials have noted it will come sometime before 2013.
