While several automakers are producing new models with a sporty edge, Kia has released five vehicles that are individually tailored to specific athletic sports. How exactly can a vehicle be designed for a sport? Allow Arapahoe Kia to explain. At SEMA 2011, Kia unveiled concept models for vehicles designed with fanatics of the following athletic activities in mind: basketball, golf, hockey, surfing and speed-racing.

First in the lineup came the Blake Griffin Optima Hybrid, an NBA themed ride complete with a basketball inspired paint job, court-like flooring and Pop-a-Shot hoop game attached to the trunk. For those who prefer a much smaller ball, Kia created a Kia Soul Hole-In-One based off the pro-golf styling of Michelle Wie. This model displays five-spoke, 20-inch wheels, So Blue coloring, and custom decals which take a cue from Wie's own golf bag collection. Moving onto the ice, the Hat Trick Forte 5-door will grab the attention of hockey fans with an ice-metallic gray paint job, blue alloy wheels and convenient hockey stick holder. To balance out the chilly-themed vehicle, Kia also devised a sun-inspired car in the form of a Retro Surf Rio 5-door. And lastly, all B-spec racers will appreciate the Rio 5-door that Kia prepped specifically for the upcoming Sports Car Club of America racing series.

While the automaker's creative design minds are certainly capable of most anything, Kia did receive a bit of helping in bringing the aforementioned models to life. West Coast Customs shop lent a hand in the development of both the Blake Griffin Optima Hybrid as well as the Kia Soul Hole-In-One. Though these two models, as well as the rest, aren't yet slated for actual production, Arapahoe Kia will let you know as soon as we hear word.
