Unlike previous models, this Sorento has three rows as standard, thus increasing maximum occupancy to seven. If you get an LX with a V6 engine, the driver's seat is boosted with 10-way power adjustability and 2-way power lumbar support. Leather seat trim, front-seat heating, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel are introduced if you get an EX model. At the SX trim level, the vehicle is further upgraded with 10-way power adjustability and 2-way power lumbar support on the front passenger seat, 14-way power adjustability and 4-way power lumbar support on the driver's seat, a perforated leather-wrapped steering wheel, and an integrated memory system.

The EX gets a 7-inch TFT color LCD display, a smart key system with push-button engine start, third-row air conditioning, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and a garage-door opener. Exclusive to the SX trim level are HD Radio™, SiriusXM® Traffic service, voice-command navigation, a 10-speaker Harman Kardon stereo system, and an 8-inch color touchscreen.

The 2019 Sorento uses a front MacPherson strut front suspension and a multi-link rear suspension for a smooth drive regardless of driving surface. Electric motor-driven power steering is implemented for precise turning and cornering. On the SX trim level, the electric motor is mounted on the steering rack for quicker response and greater steering feel.

The 2019 Kia Sorento L and LX is fitted with a 2.4-liter inline 4-cylinder engine that produces 185 horsepower and 178 lb-ft of torque. For 2019, the V6 is glued to a brand-new 8-speed automatic transmission; the 4-cylinder is hitched to a 6-speed automatic gearbox. Front-wheel drive is standard on the Sorento, with the option of going with an all-wheel drivetrain for improved all-weather driving.
