2021 Kia Telluride Trim Levels in Centennial CO
The Telluride took the auto world by storm when Kia introduced it for the 2020 model year. The follow-up to that hit inaugural success is now available in Centennial Colorado and brings with it some exciting changes, including a Nightfall Edition appearance package, improved trailering equipment and a new key fob that provides better access to the remote engine start system. The Telluride is a three-row midsize SUV that can seat either eight or seven. It provides 21 cubic feet of reserved cargo space and affords more than 157 cubic feet of total passenger volume. Legroom in the front row is more than 41 inches. Second-row legroom is more than 42 inches, and third-row legroom impresses at more than 31 inches. In addition to the base LX model, Kia offers three upper trim levels: S, EX and SX.
LX Trim
The LX is the Telluride base model but rather impressive when compared to other base trim levels in the class. It has a 291-hp V6 engine under the hood and an eight-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard, and all-wheel drive is optional. The overall length of the vehicle is 196.9 inches. It has a default 8.0-inch minimum ground clearance, and 18-inch alloy wheels are standard. Other notable exterior features include power heated side mirrors with turn signal indicators and front and rear skid plates. Eight-passenger seating is standard as is simulated leather upholstery, an 8-inch infotainment touchscreen, a six-speaker sound system, six USB ports and rear AC controls. The standard driver assistance equipment includes smart cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert and a system that can detect forward collisions and automatically apply the brakes to prevent them.
S Trim
The second of the 2021 Kia Telluride trim levels available in Centennial Colorado is an attractive option for anyone who wants the seven-passenger seating since it includes it at little additional price. It replaces the bench in the second row with bucket seats. The cabin is also upgraded with a power sunroof, heating for the front seats, a driver's seat that is power adjustable and has lumbar support and a leather gearshift knob. The exterior is upgraded with 20-inch wheels and low-profile roof rails. The S trim also boasts a number of aesthetic differences, such as a dark metallic front grille, dual chrome exhaust tips and various accents with a satin chrome or premium silver finish.
EX Trim
The EX is the third of the 2021 Kia Telluride trim levels, and while it adds a wide array of popular amenities, it is important to note that it does not come with the seven-passenger seating standard. For that, you will need to opt for the EX Premium group, which adds the captain's chairs in addition to 20-inch wheels and LED headlamps. The base package for the EX is quite robust, however. The cabin is upgraded with leather seating, power adjustability for the front passenger seat, ventilated front seats, sunshades in the second-row, dual-zone automatic temperature control, a wireless charging pad and a 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen with an integrated navigation system. You also get a hands-free liftgate, which is among the most popular options for the Telluride as it greatly eases cargo access.
SX Trim
The 2021 Kia Telluride SX is the range-topping trim. It is based on the EX with the EX Premium package. It adds dual power sunroofs, improves the driver seat with memory settings, enhances the dashboard with a much large and robust instrument cluster and upgrades the sound system to a premium Harman Kardon setup with 10 speakers. You also have the option of the SX Prestige package. It adds premium leather seating in all three rows, enhances the second row with seat heating and ventilation and adds rain-sensing windshield wipers. Other options include a tow package which includes a self-leveling suspension and the Nightfall Edition, which gives the Telluride a blacked-out aesthetic.
