Kia Award Shelf Continues to Fill Up

Everywhere you look, especially on mediums like TV, internet, and social media, we're sure drivers are seeing plenty about the numerous awards and accolades Kia has been picking up over the past year. In case you missed them, Arapahoe Kia is here to give you a rundown of just a few of the honors the South Korean automaker has accrued.

Kia Scores High in EPA Efficiency Survey Rankings

Leave it to one of the newer kids on the block in the automotive industry to take the biggest steps towards fuel economy gains and carbon emission reduction. Kia had the largest improvement in both those categories by a sizeable amount in the EPA's recent "Light-Duty Automotive Technology, Carbon Dioxide Emissions, and Fuel Economy Trends: 1975 Through 2011" survey, with an 11.6 percent fuel economy gain, and adjusted CO2 performance reduction of of 10.1 percent from 2009 to 2010. Kia also tied for the highest Corporate Average Fuel Economy title at 27 miles per gallon on 2010 models, and placed second among all others for CO2 values.

Kia Rio Tops the List of Subcompact Cars

At one point in time, subcompact cars were considered uncomfortable and underperforming vehicles. Over the years as automotive technology improved, so too did the subcompact car. Maintaining its cost- and fuel-efficient properties, a number of these smaller vehicles make good choices for those looking to stretch their dollar further in the greater Denver area. In particular, the newly redesigned Kia Rio sits at the top of its class, but you don't have to take our word for it.

2013 Kia Cadenza Adds a Touch of Luxury to Sedan Family

Arapahoe Kia couldn't be more excited to see the upcoming 2013 Kia Cadenza join the ranks of existing Kia sedans (i.e. the Soul, Forte and Optima). However, we're extra giddy because the Cadenza is slated to add a bit of luxury to the automotive brand we love.

Kia Rolls Out Second Generation of UVO

In a dynamic, rapidly-evolving world, "new technology" is considered "old" before half the population even gets their hands on it. Kia understands.  That's why the automaker has chosen to revamp its in-vehicle information offering only a short time after the original was released.

Kia Gives a Thumbs-Up for Production of the GT Concept

Arapahoe Kia knows it can be a bit frustrating to feast your eyes on an exciting new concept model only to find that it will never hit the production line. This is especially so when it comes to brilliant, cutting-edge automotive ideas that are oft presented in Kia concepts. However, we have some very, very good news along those lines. Catch a glimpse of the GT Concept which made an appearance at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 2011? Well, we are overjoyed to confirm that Kia has given the go-ahead for production of the svelte sports concept which is already slated to begin in 2013.

Now, we'd like to take a few minutes to discuss another company initiative that once again has Kia on par with the pro-golf industry.
